Liberalization and Leninist Legacies: Comparative Perspectives on Democratic Transitions

The perspectives of transition period of new societies, gained independence in the former Soviet Union after collapse of communism, to democracy are comparatively analyzed in the book "Liberalization and Lenin heritage. Comparative perspectives relating transition to democracy". Various factors defining directions of the transition period, influencing seriously to its development are being commented. In author's opinion, communism collapse creates opportunity for sociologists both to experiment political change theories, and to discover new methods of approach on political and social transition.
